Growing Flowers

I was fortunate to have learned how to grow flowers the old fashioned way: in harmony with nature. Organic methods are the only methods I know, so nothing here has ever been sprayed with anything. The only fertilizer we use is our own compost made here from our alpaca and horse manure combined with waste hay and garden refuse. We rotate flower and vegetable crops and encourage beneficials to prevent pest problems. Weeding is done by hand.

Haven Hill Farm is all about diversity: we grow so many kinds of flowering plants and we love them all. From April until hard frost, something is always blooming here. Our flowers grow in permanent no till production beds as well as in extensive perennial gardens all around the farm.
